While we’ve only received one actual trailer for it, Sonic Frontiers is still apparently planned for a release this coming winter holiday.
This year might not be moving quite as fast as everyone’s favourite hedgehog, but it is steadily getting closer to the holiday season (sorry for reminding everyone it’s May now). But the holidays themselves apparently aren’t struggling to keep up with the hog. As spotted by Nintendo Life, Sega of America’s social media manager Katie Chrzanowski provided a very brief update into the state of Sonic Frontiers, saying that news will be coming „soon,” and that it’s still coming out this holiday.
„See a lot of people asking about [Sonic] Frontiers, we don’t have news on Frontiers today, but don’t worry, soon,” said Chrzanowski. „It’s still set to come out this holiday, so we will have news for you this year, don’t worry.”

I know Mario games have involved the beach before, but those times—Mario Sunshine especially—were about work, or quests. And quests are work. This series of illustrations by Léo Chérel instead imagines what it would be like if the brothers (and friends) were all able to take a proper, well-deserved vacation.
There’s a YouTube channel I’m fond of called Virtual Japan, where a 4K camera serenely glides through gorgeous Japanese hotspots: Sapporo in the snow, Christmas lights in Tokyo, residential back streets in the pouring rain. You hear nothing but ambient city sounds and the tromping of a cameraman’s feet. You could be watching a HUD-free FPS, albeit with incredi-graphics. Finally, in Ghostwire: Tokyo, someone has made a game of it, albeit with occasional ghost zapping.
The Nintendo Switch holiday bundle has been sold out since before Christmas, but it randomly popped up at the Nintendo Store today. The $300 bundle comes with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and three months of Nintendo Switch Online. That’s a pretty darn good deal, especially since you can now play the SNES RPG classic Earthbound via Switch Online.
This bundle comes with the standard Nintendo Switch–not the Switch OLED–but it is the model with better battery life.
The Nintendo Store also briefly had the Dialga & Palkia Edition Switch Lite in stock, but it sold out very quickly.
