iPhone 14 Pro could get the Apple Watch’s always-on display feature

Apple’s upcoming iPhone 14 Pro could feature always-on display capabilities thanks to their variable refresh rates and ProMotion technology, according to an analyst.

The two current iPhone 13 Pro models are equipped with low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) display panels and are capable of variable refresh rates between 10Hz and 120Hz. Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants, however, says he’s expecting the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max to be able to drop down to 1Hz.

iPhone 14 to get 'high-end’ front camera with built-in autofocus

The upcoming iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro could feature a higher-end selfie camera with built-in autofocus that will be assembled in South Korea, a new report claims.

Apple has reportedly cut a Chinese supply chain partner and has chosen South Korean company LG Innotek for the new front-facing camera, ET News reported Monday. LG Innotek has since begun mass production of the new camera setup.

Final Fantasy 9 animated series might get shown off later this week

It’s looking like the Final Fantasy 9 animated series might be shown off for the first time later this week.

According to an interview with Animation Magazine, Bruno Danzel d’Aumont, VP of international licensing and marketing at Paris-based animation studio Cyber Group Studios, the animated take on Final Fantasy 9 will be shown off alongside a handful of other projects. It doesn’t sound like anything will be revealed to the public, as it’s specifically being shown at the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas this week.

„It will be a great opportunity to share our upcoming plans with our licensees, agents, and new partners,” said Danzel d’Aumont. „Additionally, our most recently developed shows – Digital Girl, The McFire Family, Press Start! and Final Fantasy 9 – will be presented for the first time. These four new series have a strong licensing appeal for different age targets.”
