Monsters and skeletons and traps, oh my!

RedDeer.Games has announced its upcoming retro effort, Swords & Bones, will make its way onto Nintendo Switch – although no firm release date has been set as of yet.

The game, which is very obviously inspired by ’80s and ’90s classics such as Ghosts 'n Goblins, sees you battle demon hordes across some quite lovely looking old-school environments in what the dev describes as an „epic adventure”.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel Is Some Damn Fine (And Free) Card Fighting

przez admin

I love the mechanics of Konami’s long-running collectible card game Yu-Gi-Oh!, but I’m too impatient to wade through banal anime tales of pointy-haired teens learning about friendship and sportsmanship in order to get my collectible card game fix. Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, the free-to-play game released this week on PC…

Battlefield 2042’s Free-To-Play Report May Only Be For Portal Mode

przez admin

Battlefield 2042 has struggled to find a large audience since its launch last year, which came just as Halo Infinite’s free-to-play multiplayer beta began. According to a report by industry insider Tom Henderson, EA is considering making a part of Battlefield 2042 free-to-play, and in a follow-up video to his earlier tweets, Henderson spoke about EA’s potential plans for the game.

While discussing the state of Battlefield 2042 developer DICE, Henderson claimed that EA is looking to make at least one of the game’s modes free-to-play, possibly Portal or Hazard Zone. Portal regularly sees a higher number of players than Hazard Zone does and the idea is that by giving players free access to it, more people would be interested in paying for the full Battlefield 2042 experience.

Portal is one of Battlefield 2042’s more creative modes, as it allows players to create all kinds of custom game types and delve into Battlefield’s past with maps pulled from Battlefield 1942, Bad Company 2, and Battlefield 3. Hazard Zone is essentially the game’s battle royale mode and focuses on multiple squads of players competing to secure data drives and extract before a deadly storm destroys the map.

Dark Souls Servers Shut Down After Exploit Allows Attackers To Access Players’ PCs

przez admin

Dark Souls and Elden Ring developer From Software has taken all its online servers for the Dark Souls series on PC offline as it investigates an exploit that can give an attacker to your entire system.

The exploit, which has been around for some time, was initially reported to From Software by one of the few people who is able to execute the exploit, according to VGC. The report was met with no reply, forcing the player to stream the exploit and its dangers to bring attention to the issues.

A Dark Souls 3 streamer by the name of The_Grim_Sleeper streamed the exploit and took over his own PC, using a narration app to read out some text to prove how easy it was to control the system remotely. This past Sunday, it seems From Software noticed, with a tweet indicating that all PvP servers for the entirety of the Dark Souls series would be taken offline on PC as it investigates.

Elden Ring Has Gone Gold, Will Take Around 30 Hours To Beat

przez admin

From Software has completed development on the long-awaited Elden Ring, with a „master” version being submitted for approval, the developer has confirmed. Work isn’t completely done, though, as the developers are now working on a day one patch that will include updates and optimizations.

Elden Ring „going gold” was confirmed during the Taipei Game Show, where From Software also discussed Elden Ring’s length. Producer Yasuhiro Kitao said play time will vary depending on a number of factors, but the main route should take players around 30 hours.

„This will differ significantly by player but in terms of targets set during development, the idea is that the main route should be able to be completed within around 30 hours,” Kitao said. „The game as a whole is quite massive, and contains many dozens more hours worth of gameplay but if we are talking about the main route only, it shouldn’t take much longer than that.”
